Sport that brings people together: festivals for veterans, service members, people with disabilities, children and families — since 2023.
Why we run festivals
A festival is the easiest way to try adaptive sport for the first time. War veterans, service members in rehabilitation, their families, schoolchildren, students, people with disabilities and sports lovers come together in one space — and play together.
Our aim is to build barrier-free connections between people through sport and to show that sport is open to everyone. We adapt the format and rules to the participants: people play standing, seated, in wheelchairs, on crutches and with prostheses.
We run the festivals with our partners — the regional youth and sport department, the “Sport for All” centre, “Veteran Space”, the “Invasport” centre, the Rivne Regional Football Association and the schools that host us.
What we run
“Badminton for All”
A festival series since September 2023 — at the “Invasport” centre, Lyceums No. 8 and No. 12 and the Collegium Lyceum. Standing, seated and wheelchair badminton for veterans, service members, children and families.
The Collegium festival“Football for All”
Festivals in 2024 with the Rivne Regional Football Association: masterclasses from experienced players, a presentation of amputee football, contests and an exhibition game.
The Lyceum No. 12 festivalChallenge Sport Fest
An adaptive sports festival on 17 August 2024 at Lyceum No. 12 and RFKIT: wheelchair basketball, amputee football, badminton, boccia and archery.
How it wentCanistherapy
Together with the Doka Dog centre we run dog-assisted therapy sessions — they help relieve tension and have become one of the favourite parts of our festivals.
