“Badminton and Football for All” at the Collegium Lyceum, with canistherapy
Another festival — and the first one together with the therapy dogs of the Doka Dog centre.
On 8 May 2024, the Rivne Collegium Lyceum hosted another “Badminton and Football for All” festival. War veterans, service members in rehabilitation, their families, schoolchildren, students and people with disabilities trained and played together — wheelchair and standing badminton, and football on the outdoor court.
This time the festival was joined by our partners from the Doka Dog canistherapy centre. Dog-assisted therapy sessions help relieve tension, and time with the dogs became one of the warmest parts of the day for adults and children alike.
The festival was covered by local TV channels. The festival is part of the “Badminton for All” series that started in September 2023 together with training for veterans and their families.
